The Alamo Area Partners for Animal Welfare (AAPAW) will be sponsoring a Super First Saturday Adoption event the first Saturday of August, highlighting the need to find homes for all the dog and cats, puppies and kittens living in shelters.

The day-long event, where WellMed will underwrite half of all adoption fees, allows everyone to enjoy ALL the love of a companion pet, for only HALF the price.

Participating shelters in the HALF-PRICE adoptions include: Animal Care Services at Highway 151 and Old Highway 90; the Animal Defense League on Nacogdoches off Wurzbach Parkway; the Humane Society/SPCA of Bexar County at Fredericksburg and Loop 410l; and Camp Bow Wow on Jones Maltsberger across from Blossom Athletic Field.
